For this year's Pop Montreal, Scion Sessions has teamed up with Canadian indie imprints Daps Records and Hand Drawn Dracula to put out a split 12-inch record featuring artists from both labels, as well as a Daps sampler CD. The release show goes down September 20 at CFC Bar in Montreal, and all attendees will receive free copies of the new vinyl and disc.

The artists performing at the show are Beliefs, Cousins, Hooded Fang, Odonis Odonis, Dusted and Beta Frontiers. Meanwhile, the split 12-inch includes cuts from those bands plus more.

On the Daps side are previously unreleased tracks from Hooded Fang and Odonis Odonis called "Soma" and "Wipeout Beat," respectively. Also from the Daps camp are weirdo popsters Phèdre with "Haberdash" and lo-fi electro duo Beta Frontiers with "Hondo."

Today, in Exclaim!'s Music/Video section, you can stream and/or download the contributions from Odonis Odonis and Beta Frontiers over here.

We'll follow-up with an update as more information about the Hand Drawn Dracula side emerges. For now, keep in mind that capacity at the venue is limited and so is the number of available records, so enter Scion Sessions' contest to make sure you catch this showcase and get your hands on a great piece of wax. You can also find more details and RSVP to the event here.
