Damon Albarn

"Everyday Robots" (video)

Over the weekend, Damon Albarn confirmed he has a new solo LP called Everyday Robots coming our way, and now the prolific Brit pop-explorer has unveiled the title track in a faux-flesh-and-blood-driven animated video.

The song itself plays subtly through a steady, sorrowful piano melody, violin loop and minimalist electronic beat, all supporting Albarn's admission that "We're everyday robots in control, or in the process of being sold."

The video, meanwhile, was put together by artist Aitor Throup, who a press release notes used "CGI software and actual cranial scans and facial reconstruction techniques to explore and reveal the process of building a uniquely personal portrait of an artist and individual."

You can see the 3D rendering of the Albarn's eventually recognizable mug in the player down below.

As previously reported, Everyday Robots arrives April 28 on Parlophone.
