Daft Punk continue to do the most for a band that's supposedly broken up. Just last month, the duo announced a 10th-anniversary edition of Random Access Memories, and now they're sharing a first look at 35 minutes of outtakes the expansion will feature.

With a runtime of nearly eight-and-a-half minutes, "The Writing of Fragments of Time" is not so much a part two to the RAM deep cut as it is snippets from its conception. It features conversations between the band members and the track's vocalist and co-producer Todd Edwards as they work through lyrical and melodic ideas. Listen to it below.

The rest of the archival material set to be released on May 12 will include an early take of smash hit "Get Lucky," vocoder tests from "Lose Yourself to Dance," and much more. It will also feature Japanese bonus track "Horizon."

Upon its original release, Exclaim! gave Random Access Memories a 10/10 and interviewed Daft Punk for a cover story
