TRACK OF THE DAY: Moved by Sacha Gervasi's fantastic doc on Toronto thrash metal pioneers Anvil, prolific - both in style and output - producer/MC D-Sisive (aka Derek Christoff) produced his own track about the band.
Described as "an updated 'Brian Wilson,'" Christoff mashes up samples from the film with elements of "Werewolf Head" by actor Ryan Gosling's band, Dead Man's Bones, while rhyming in between, creating a highly effective portrait of a starving artist.
Having made no effort to clear the samples from either the film or Dead Man's Bones, he warns that the track is "one delicious lawsuit waiting to happen," so get it while it's legal, kids.
