Crazy Frog Is Returning with a New Song

And yes, his penis is making its return as well

This year saw the much-anticipated re-emergence of Adele, but it's just been confirmed that before it closes out, 2021 will usher in the return of another elusive icon of popular music — Crazy Frog.

Back in September, a post on the official Crazy Frog Instagram page promised that "something's cooking," accompanied by a pic of Crazy Frog looking handsome in a chef's hat. Now, it's been announced that the blue-skinned amphibian will be returning on December 10 with a new track "inspired by TikTok trends" that's being described as a "mash-up of classic hits."

President of A&R at Sony Music Wolfgang Boss (an insane name for the president of a company, moving on), who was partially behind 2005 hit "Axel F" and owns all of Crazy Frog's music, noted [via BBC] that, "When we started Crazy Frog, there was no TikTok, it didn't exist."

He continued, "But right now TikTok is super important. It's basically the number one platform for people to share new music and funny things connected with music," hinting that the platform may be involved in Crazy Frog's comeback somehow.

Boss is creating the comeback song with producer Reinhard "Voodoo" Raith, who also worked on the original Crazy Frog single.

Most importantly, however, Boss also confirmed the question that's no doubt on everyone's mind — yes, Crazy Frog will return with his 'lil junk in full view. In a statement, Boss said that "the new video will have the Crazy Frog like he was originally meant – with a penis … but we will have to do a censored version again because US media will not show the original version."
