Noah Gundersen Unveils Debut Solo Album for Dine Alone

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jan 9, 2014

Noah Gundersen used to front the folk rock outfit the Courage, but following that group's breakup in 2011, the songwriter has announced an album under his own name. Ledges will be out in Canada on February 11 through Dine Alone Records.

Gundersen has previously released a few EPs, but this is his first solo full-length. It was self-produced at Pearl Jam member Stone Gossard's Seattle facility, Studio Litho. According to a press release, these 11 cuts "address the transition into manhood while delving into questions of doubt, love, redemption, faith and mortality."

Scroll past the tracklist below to watch a video for the brightly fiddle-aided, earnestly sweet title track. There's also an album trailer at the bottom of the page featuring the same song and a few grainy, vintage-looking vacation shots.

Gundersen will be touring in the coming months. His live band features his sister Abby (with whom he founded the Courage) and brother Jonathan, and their schedule includes a number of U.S. shows, plus a Canuck gig in Toronto that's already sold out and another in Montreal. The itinerary is underneath the tracklist.
