Ever wonder what a hard-living country legend does on a day off? Well, here's your answer. Julien's Auctions has unearthed a to-do list written by Johnny Cash that gives some insight into the daily goings-on of the Man in Black.
The note confirms that Cash was a family man, as it includes the points "kiss June," "not kiss anyone else" and "go see mama." It also contains items geared towards self-improvement like "not smoke," "not eat too much" and "practice piano." What's more, it reveals that Cash was a genuinely hilarious guy; along with baffling items like "pee" and "worry," it ends with "not write notes."
Unfortunately, the list is undated. The points about June Carter Cash and his mother indicate that it was written sometime between 1968 (when he and June were engaged) and 1991 (when his mother passed away).
The auction for the Johnny Cash to-do list takes place on December 5. It also includes more standard auction items like hand-written lyrics, guitars and clothing items (including the jumpsuit worn in this famous picture). Check it out here.
Thanks to the Star for the heads-up.
