Cory Woodward Tells 'The Truth' on Debut LP, Gets Adaline, Carly Rae Jepsen to Guest

It's been four years since Edmonton-born, Vancouver-based songwriter Cory Woodward released his debut EP, Princess of the Skies, and now he's ready to put out his first full-length. Entitled The Truth, look for it to drop on August 7.

According to a press release, the "11 highly energized rock songs" feature guest appearances from a host of BC artists, including Debra-Jean (formerly of Mother Mother), Nat Jay, Adaline, and pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen. It was produced by Matthew Rogers (Adrian Glynn, Twilight Hotel) and mixed by Shawn Cole (Hannah Georgas, Yukon Blonde).

Woodward said in a statement, "The Truth is a collection of songs that are a detailed expression of my world during a time of major transition. They are songs written from personal experience, they're cries for help, a longing for change of oneself and the world, all spawned from years of battling depression and addiction on numerous fronts."
