While Converge fans are eagerly awaiting a new LP from Jacob Bannon and company, the frontman of the metallic hardcore outfit have been working towards releasing a debut as Wear Your Wounds. The first LP from the group, titled WYW, will arrive this April through Deathwish Inc.
Alongside the announcement, the band have shared the nine-minute "Goodbye Old Friend." In stark contrast to the group's hardcore roots, the song features clean vocals and guitars, in addition to organ and relaxed acoustic strumming.
Besides Bannon, the project features his Converge bandmate Kurt Ballou, Mike McKenzie (the Red Chord), Chris Maggio (Sleigh Bells, Trap Them) and Sean Martin (Hatebreed, Kid Cudi).
