Collaborative Single from Andrew Bird and the National's Matt Berninger Due Next Week

If you watched the season finale of AMC's 1770s period drama Turn earlier this month, you might have noticed that the soundtrack included a song featuring Andrew Bird and the National's Matt Berninger. Soon, that collaborative cut is set to be released as a single.

Film Music Reporter notes that they teamed up for a version of "A Lyke Wake Dirge." This is presumably based on the traditional English folk ballad about the soul's travels in the afterlife. The new version will be released on July 8 (presumably through iTunes).

This isn't the first time Berninger has been attached to Turn. The National's frontman previously teamed up with Joy Williams of the Civil Wars for the show's theme song duet, "Hush."
