George Michael tragically left us this year, as the British pop star died at the age of 53 on Christmas Day. While tributes have been pouring in from across the globe, Coldplay's Chris Martin joined in by helping cover one of Michael's most iconic and holiday-appropriate songs, Wham!'s "Last Christmas."

Earlier this week, Martin did an impromptu performance of the 1986 Christmas classic at a homeless shelter in London. The Coldplay leader was joined by a guest named Kevin, who took the lead on the cover while Martin strummed an acoustic guitar on the sidelines.

"A huge thank you to Coldplay's Chris Martin for dropping by our Crisis at Christmas centres and entertaining our guests," UK charity Crisis posted on Facebook, where the organization shared the video.

You can watch the touching performance below.

As reported earlier today (December 30), Michael's autopsy has so far been ruled as "inconclusive."
