Coldplay Hide 'Ghost Stories' Lyrics in Libraries for Worldwide Scavenger Hunt

There's still a few weeks to go until the May 19 release of Coldplay's album Ghost Stories, but the arena-filling pop band are sharing the lyrics ahead of time via a worldwide scavenger hunt.

A tweet from the group explains that singer Chris Martin's handwritten lyrics for each song have been hidden in libraries in nine different countries. The lyrics are in envelopes that have been slipped into ghost story books.

As the sheets are found, the lyrics will be posted online. One of the nine envelopes contains a "Golden Ticket," which grants the lucky finder a free trip to England to see Coldplay on July 1 in London.

Coldplay will be dropping hints on Twitter with the hashtag #lyricshunt about where to find the lyrics. The first envelope has already been found in Mexico City.

There's no word as to whether Canada will be included in the hunt, but stay tuned to Coldplay's Twitter account for more information.

Meanwhile, Ghost Stories is available to pre-oder digitally through iTunes or CD through Amazon.
