Clipping. Drop 'Wriggle' EP

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 14, 2016

Experimental West Coast rap group Clipping. (f.k.a. clipping.) impressed with their sophomore album (and Sub Pop debut) CLPPNG back in 2014, and they've just released a follow-up collection in the form of a new digital EP titled Wriggle.

The latest offering from Daveed Diggs, William Hutson and Jonathan Snipes comes fresh off the former's appearance at the Tony Awards this weekend, where he took home the trophy for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his role as Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette in the Broadway smash Hamilton.

The new six-track EP from Clipping. features the previously shared, rapidly spat "Intro," appropriately in the opening song slot. Also included on the EP are guest appearances by Antwon and Signor Benedick the Moor on "Back Up," Cakes Da Killa and Maxi Wild on "Hot Fuck No Love," and Nailah Middleton on "Our Time."

The trio are currently readying their next full-length album for a fall release, but Wriggle is out now via Sub Pop, and giving it a listen is a hell of a lot easier than getting tickets to Hamilton. Just hit play below.
