Psychedelic ’60s acoustic guitar-based pop meets intricately dissonant contemporary guitar noodling on this debut from Vancouver's Cinderpop. The disc's 13 tracks sway easily between tender ballads like “Mayfair Holiday” and “Yogi Bear,” and up-tempo rockers like “Oliver 8” and “Galaxicon 304” and back again. Definite huge nods to the Beatles, especially The White Album, which has obviously served as both musical and lyrical inspiration for this record.
