Chromatics

"These Streets Will Never Look the Same" (video)

Portland pop noir outfit Chromatics have been generously dropping a number of videos for their recent masterwork Kill for Love since its spring release. Up next is the sublimely shot black and white clip for album track "These Streets Will Never Look the Same."

Shot in Las Vegas, Montreal and Mexico City, the Alberto Rossini-directed video finds the Chromatics scouring city landscapes, peeping carnival scenes, dreamily gazing at stretches of highway and taking a couple of catnaps. Full of refracted light prisms and soft-focus shots, the hazy travelogue clip certainly suits the surreal and gauzy late-night vibe of the track.
