A forthcoming episode of doc-style series Autopsy: The Last Hours Of…, which investigates the tragic, sudden death of celebrities, will look at the final moments of iconic rock vocalist Chris Cornell.

Blabbermouth notes that the show will recreate Cornell's final live appearance with Soundgarden at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, having recently filmed the episode at Shepherd's Bush Hall in the UK.

Cornell's death was ruled suicide by hanging by a medical examiner in May of last year, after he was found in his room at the MGM Grand Hotel following the Detroit performance. A toxicology report found that the vocalist had prescription drugs in his system at the time of his passing.

English actor and singer Paul Ayres is set to play Cornell, with the cast also including Andrew Shire as bassist Ben Shepherd, Patrick Holly as drummer Matt Cameron and Ben Sura as guitarist Kim Thayil.

It's currently unknown when the Cornell episode will air. The series has previously examined the deaths of James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor, David Bowie, Lou Reed, Muhammad Ali, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Andy Warhol, Andy Kaufman, Farrah Fawcett, Johnny Cash, George Harrison, George Michael, Mary Tyler Moore, James Gandolfini and more.
