Early in pandemic days, Young Guv's Ben Cook found himself stranded in a new area of the United States. He decided to stay in New Mexico, and could not travel due to his life-long asthma. His change of scenery soon became a source of inspiration, though, and now, he's shared a new single as a result.
Today, Cook has followed up his 2019 records, GUV I & II, with a new single called "Cold in the Summer," released through Run for Cover Records. It's a song that was born out of drastic change, both personal and universal, as Cook bore witness to COVID-19 lockdowns and insurgencies against racism and police brutality. Also — the accompanying video features a herd of adorable horses.
