For music lovers, Tuesday can be one of the most exciting days of the week, primarily because it welcomes new albums into the world. Whether it's an album from a definitive punk band or a tribute to a late folk legend, there are tons of new records out today hoping to make their way into your hands. Here are just a few highlights, but check out our Recently Reviewed section for the complete listing of this week's new releases.

Fans of heavier music should find themselves satisfied with the number of metal and punk releases this week. First off, extreme metal outfit Today Is the Day offer up their newest record Pain Is a Warning. The album is raw and fast, but check out what else made it earn an Exclaim! Mark of Excellence.

Also getting the Exclaim! Mark of Excellence are Oregon trio Yob with their intense sixth album Atma and All Pigs Must Die, who showcase how their years of musical experience flawlessly come together on their debut God Is War.

One-time emo heroes Braid have recently reunited and have finally released their new EP Closer to Closed. Read our review to see if the most ardent of Braid fans will feel nostalgic and welcome the band's new material. Another reunited band, Scream, have also reignited their passion on Complete Control Sessions. Check out if it successfully adds on to their musical legacy.

Next up is a compilation album paying homage to late folk rock musician John Martyn. Johnny Boy Would Love This...A Tribute to John Martyn sees artists like Beth Orton, the Swell Season, Beck and many more coming together on this double album.

Last but not least, Marc Bianchi has long been releasing albums under the moniker of Her Space Holiday. With his final self-titled album hitting stores, check out if it justifies his status as a hidden musical gem.
