Chance the Rapper Pulls Out of Mad Decent Block Party, Replaced by Vic Mensa

This spring, fast-rising hip-hop star Chance the Rapper cancelled a couple of festival dates when he was hospitalized with an illness. Now, the MC has pulled out of more shows, this time citing exhaustion.

As previously reported, Chance was due to play four North American shows this month with the Mad Decent Block Party, and his appearances at the stops have now been called off. He will no longer be appearing when the festival rolls into Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Boston and Toronto. Chance's updated schedule is below.

Luckily, Chance will be replaced at all four shows by his buddy Vic Mensa. This means that Vic will be coming to Toronto even sooner than his previously scheduled show in September.

Other artists on the bill for the Toronto gig — which takes place on August 15 at Fort York Garrison Commons — include Diplo, Zeds Dead, Keys N Krates, Flosstradamus and more.

This cancellation is a shame, since Chance gave a stellar recent performance at Pemberton Music Festival.

Tour dates:

08/03 Chicago, IL - Lollapalooza
08/08 Philadelphia, PA - Festival Pier - Penn's Landing
08/09 Brooklyn, NY - MCU Park - Coney Island
08/10 Boston, MA - Blue Hills Bank Pavilion
08/15 Toronto, ON - Fort York Garrison Commons
