Following another news-packed week, we're here to help you make sense of it all. In this week's Exclaim! news roundup, we have everything from Chad VanGaalen returning with his first proper solo album in three years, Daft Punk getting their Tron score remixed and Liam Gallagher weighing in on the new Radiohead record.

First off, Calgary busker turned indie rock hero Chad VanGaalen has announced his return. Come May 17, the much-loved eccentric will release his awesomely titled Diaper Island LP, which is being described as "the closest thing he has done to a rock album." It also contains a track called "Shave My Pussy." Just thought we should point that out...

In other news, this week was definitely a big one for new-album news. We found out Chromeo have made the "world's smallest album," Josh Reichmann has a new solo LP, Grimes and d'Eon are doing a split and Daft Punk's Tron score is getting remixed.

Also this week, he had the Flaming Lips revealing plans for some release via a life-sized gummy skull, Interpol losing Dave Pajo (something we're not in the least surprised about) and Liam Gallagher giving Radiohead a piece of his mind.

In deaths, Electric Prunes/Smashing Pumpkins bassist Mark Tulin passed away, as did Gordon Lightfoot guitarist Terry Clements and Bob Dylan's muse Suze Rotolo.

Oh, and in case you missed it, Trent Reznor won one of those Academy Awards things and, um, may star in and score a vampire film.
