Cee-Lo Becomes The Lady Killer, Covers Band of Horses

When he's not busy with Gnarls Barkley, former Goodie Mob member Cee-Lo Green lends his voice to a series of soulful solo albums. It's now been six years since Cee-Lo Green Is the Soul Machine, his last studio effort, but that's all set to change with the announcement that he'll be dropping Cee-Lo Green Is the Lady Killer later this year.

There aren't too many details about the project just yet, but we have been given two tracks. One is called "Georgia," and can be downloaded in exchange for some personal info here. The other is a cover of Band of Horses' 2007 anthem "No One's Gonna Love You." In place of indie rock drawl, however, Cee-Lo gives it an electro-soul spin. The track has also been given a slightly NSFW video, which can be viewed here. A work-friendly version of the vid can be streamed below.

Cee-Lo was reportedly signed to the reinvigorated Elektra imprint last summer, so it's likely that the album will be released by the label. No release date is set for Cee-Lo Green is the Lady Killer, but it is expected this fall.
