It's hard to imagine a Pride Month feeling whole without some input from Queen of Allies, Carly Rae Jepsen. The pop star released her latest record, The Loneliest Time, less than a year ago, but she's now teasing the release of a brand-new single on social media.

It was a pretty left-field promotional method to introduce us to that album's lead single "Western Wind" by erecting a billboard in its honour before it had even been announced — but this one takes the cake. Rachel Clark, one of Jepsen's backing vocalists, posted an Instagram Story of herself and more of the singer-songwriter's touring company jamming out to an unreleased song titled "Shy Boy."

"You heard it here first," Clark captioned the clip, which was posted to Twitter yesterday (June 5) by fanpage @carlyraewiki.

Jepsen herself retweeted the post, adding, "Pictured here: My backup singers getting loose to my new single before its release day. Yes to this goodness! Yes to the best weekend of all time! Happy Pride! 🌈💖"

Fresh off of a headlining performance of West Hollywood's Outloud pride celebration, it's safe to say she's in the spirit; and based on the snippet, "Shy Boy" is the exact soundtrack we need to keep that fun-loving energy flowing. Built off of what sounds like a slinky disco sample, the song blends the more organic approach of E•MO•TION with the sleek, club-ready aesthetic of Dedicated.

See the tweet from Jepsen and hear our first taste of "Shy Boy" below.
