Being a dedicated Swiftie is, in fact, an extreme sport. Nobody knows this better than SportsNet anchor Faizal Khamisa, who succeeded in his gambit to sneak every song title from Taylor Swift's new album Midnights into this morning's Sportsnet broadcast.
Live on the air, the Mississauga-born anchor managed to slip all 13 titles from the tracklist for the pop star's 10th studio album into his coverage of sports. Sports! Although it's actually more fitting than you'd think, since Swift offered fans the first glimpse at the album during Prime Video's stream of Thursday Night Football yesterday (October 20).
Like the easter egg-dropping "Mastermind" herself, Khamisa casually eased each song title — yes, including "Snow on the Beach" — into the conversation over the course of this morning's taping. In an end-zone victory dance, he shared a video compiling the name-drops on Twitter, which you can watch below.
Whether it was a hockey fight he deemed worthy of "Vigilante [Stuff]" or calling Houston Astros baseball player Alex Bregman an "Anti-Hero," or perhaps my personal favourite, referring to a player wearing a chain as "Bejeweled," the commentator leaves no "Question...?" of how deep his love for Swift (or wordplay) runs.
