Earlier this year, Calgary's MTT Fest celebrated its inaugural event, and the festival will be returning for another go-around this coming spring. It will run from April 11 to 13 in a variety of venues in downtown Calgary, and the lineup is once again looking pretty damn awesome.

Among the acts performing at this year's event are Martin Rev (from Suicide), Alex Bleeker & the Freaks (from Real Estate), Norman Blake (from Teenage Fanclub), Rosco from Spacemen 3, Malcolm Mooney & The 10th planet, the Telescopes, Shout Out Out Out Out, Renny Wilson, LSD and the Search for God, Holly Herndon, Gold, and many more. Plus, reunited paisley underground greats Rain Parade will be playing what is billed as their first major show in 25 years.

In addition to music, the 2013 program includes visual art, panel discussions and workshops. Early bird passes cost $100 and early bird VIP passes are $200. They can currently be purchased here. They are only available in limited quantities, so don't delay if you're planning to buy.

Guest curators for the festival include producer Joe Foster (My Bloody Valentine, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream), Nelson Bragg (of Brian Wilson's backing band), and Malcolm Mooney (original vocalist for Can).

In the coming weeks, MTT will be hosting a couple of shows in Calgary. There will be a fundraiser at the Palomino on December 28 featuring a number of acts (Haggard Beat, Barnaby Bennett, All Hands on Jane, Rotary Park, Home School, Carl Weathers, Noro), and a co-presented show on January 3 at Broken City with Walter TV, Travis Bretzer and Feel Alright.
