Calgary Folk Music Festival Announces 2014 Lineup

The Calgary Folk Music Festival has been running since 1980, and this July, the event will celebrate its 35th anniversary. The organizers have confirmed the lineup for the 2014 festival, which runs from July 24 to 27.

Performers include Chad VanGaalen, Rufus Wainwright, A Tribe Called Red, Yamantaka // Sonic Titan, Andrew Bird & the Hands of Glory, Hydra (Feist's new project with Snowblink and AroarA), Lee Fields and the Expressions, Matt Andersen, Deep Dark Woods, Jason Isbell, Basia Bulat, Great Lake Swimmers, the Jayhawks, Hey Rosetta!, Jill Barber, Mary Gauthier, Old Man Luedecke, Doug Paisley, Astral Swans, Fishbone, Kaki King, Arto Lindsay, Amos Lee, Mo Kenney, Seun Kuti, Little Miss Higgins & the Winnipeg Five, Trampled by Turtles, Patty Griffin, Art Bergman, Bruce Cockburn and more.

A limited number of early bird tickets will go on sale tomorrow (April 24) at 10 a.m. local time. Four day passes for adults cost $165 while early bird tickets last; after they sell out, the price will go up to $195.
