Burial Prepping 'Kindred' EP

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Dec 9, 2011

Bound to garner hurrahs from electronic music fans, English artist Burial has announced a new EP called Kindred. Considering his slim output since breaking out of in the mid-aughts, the beloved dubstepper has been on a roll the last year, having released the "Street Halo" single, as well as collaborative work with Four Tet and Thom Yorke, not to mention Massive Attack.

News of Kindred came via Kode9's Twitter feed, explaining that his Hyperdub label will issue Burial's latest sometime soon.

"HDB059 Burial -- Kindred EP. Join Hyperdub mailing list for news. Vinyl/digital and def less than 25quid," he wrote.

That's not much to go on, but even without a proper tracklisting or street date, news of new Burial tunes is still pretty tantalizing. Expect more info in the near future.
