Burger Records Joins Forces with Light in the Attic for Cassette Reissues

BY Josiah HughesPublished May 8, 2014

It's amazing that the organizers at Burger Records have managed to avoid drowning in a sea of cassette tapes just yet, as they continue to crank out the releases at an astonishing speed. That will continue, as they've just announced a partnership with reissue house Light in the Attic.

According to a press release, Light in the Attic owner Matt Sullivan reportedly said (to his cat), "Burger are the best. It's not everyday you get to work with folks who love the good things in life: weed, cats and cassettes. I hope with this partnership that they'll finally let us sleep over more often."

The partnership kicks off next week limited cassette releases of Rodriguez's Cold Fact and Coming from Reality on May 13. From there, the label will issue two albums from Big Boys on May 20 and PiL's First Issue on May 27.

The campaign continues through the end of July and also includes releases from Betty Davis, the Black Angels, Jim Sullivan, Honey Ltd, Karen Dalton, Roky Erickson, the Free Design and Built to Spill.
