Burton Cummings' persistent noise complaints are sending a Moose Jaw businesswoman to court.

Kyra Klassen, owner of Dance Fitness with Kyra, has been given six bylaw charges due to noise complaints from her studio's neighbour, the Guess Who rocker. But as the the CBC reports, she plans to fight them in court.

The studio is located on the second floor of a building, next to residential lofts. According to Klassen, Cummings has called the police several times to complain about noise from the studio and once came into the studio during a class to complain in person.

One other nearby tenant also previously complained about the noise.

Klassen told the CBC that she tried to meet up with Cummings to discuss a solution, but he refused.

Cummings has declined to comment via his manager.

Klassen has since added soundproofing to the studio and keeps the music at 74 decibels.

"I'm trying to co-exist and operate and run a business while being next to him," she told the Canadian Press. "It's kind of become an ongoing issue that's escalated quickly."

Klassen is expected to appear in court on April 18.
