Further demonstrating his love of collaboration, Bruno Mars has started a full-fledged project with Anderson .Paak. The duo have announced that their new project is called Silk Sonic, and they have a new album ready to go.

Mars first announced the project on Twitter, saying "We locked in and made an album." He added that Silk Sonic's first single will arrive on March 5.

The artwork for the duo, available above, suggests that Bootsy Collins appears on the LP as "special guest host." For now, that's all we know.

This isn't the first time these two have worked together. Anderson .Paak opened for Mars on the European stint of the 24K Magic tour, and both artists appeared on Chic's album It's About Time.

Mars hasn't released an album since 2016's 24K Magic, while .Paak's latest full length was 2019's Ventura
