Bruce Springsteen and the Dropkick Murphys Are Playing at (an Empty) Fenway Park Together

Yes, the social distancing orders from the coronavirus pandemic are still mostly in place, and they still mostly suck for the concert industry. But there are also some weird things going on that would have never happened before. For example, an upcoming concert that will see Bruce Springsteen perform with kilt-adorned bagpipe punks the Dropkick Murphys in an empty stadium.

On May 29 at 6 p.m. ET, the Murphys will hit the stage at an empty Fenway Park in Boston. They'll be joined by the Boss, who will phone in his performance remotely.

"We are gonna be the first band in HISTORY to play right on the dirt and grass of the infield diamond," the Dropkick Murphys wrote.

The show will be available to stream for free, and is a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity, Feeding America, and the Boston Resiliency Fund.
