It's been almost a decade since Broken Social Scene's legendary 2009 free show at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre, which was later immortalized in the Bruce McDonald-directed film This Movie Is Broken. Now, the art-rock collective are set to reignite the magic with a free Harbourfront Centre show this upcoming Canada Day (July 1).

The Harbourfront Centre calendar lists weekend-long "Canada Day 2019" celebrations beginning on June 28, promising "musical performances and activities for the whole family," culminating in the free Broken Social Scene performance on July 1. Presumably, more artists will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Earlier this year, Broken Social Scene released a pair of EPs: Let's Try the After  Vol. 1 and Let's Try the After — Vol. 2. Earlier this week, the band collectively endorsed the Pact for a Green New Deal.
