Broadcast's James Cargill Hints at New Album Featuring Unreleased Trish Keenan Recordings

Broadcast's Trish Keenan passed away from pneumonia earlier this year, but the pop experimentalist will forever be remembered via the group's stellar catalogue. We've now learned that it may eventually include another album made by using recordings done by the singer before her death.

Band member and romantic partner James Cargill revealed to Under the Radar that there are a ton of unfinished tunes Keenan had compiled over the years, and he may end up tweaking them at some point in the future.

"Trish left a lot of tapes, four-tracks and stuff, and I've been going through those," he explained. "It's difficult, and I'm connected to it at the same time. It's wonderful, but I'm also felling a sense of loss."

When asked if he would consider compiling them for a future release, Cargill responded, "I think that would be a wonderful thing."

He also revealed that he's currently working on the soundtrack for Peter Strickland's film Berberian Sound Studio, which will also include Keenan's vocals.
