Britney Spears' Songs to Be Used in 'Once Upon a One More Time' Musical

Britney Spears' songs will be at the centre of a new musical called Once Upon a One More Time, which is set to premiere this fall in Chicago.

The show stars classic fairytale princesses like Cinderella and Snow White, but the story is a bit more complex — after a fairy godmother introduces them to The Feminine Mystique in a book club, the idea of "happily ever after" changes a bit.

The musical is written by Jon Hartmere and directed by Kristin Hanggi. Choreography is by Keone and Mari Madrid.

Amongst the songs to be included in the stage show are "Oops… I Did It Again," "…Baby One More Time," "Toxic" and "Stronger."

"I'm so excited to have a musical with my songs — especially one that takes place in such a magical world filled with characters that I grew up on, who I love and adore," Spears said in a statement. "This is a dream come true for me!"

Previews for Once Upon a One More Time will begin in October at the James M. Nederlander Theatre. The show will run from November 13 to December 1, before moving to Broadway in New York.

Earlier this year, Spears cancelled her "Domination" show in Las Vegas and went on an "indefinite work hiatus" to be with her ailing father.
