Published Aug 21, 2018After teasing their return with a mysterious cult invite, phone line and website, Bring Me the Horizon have returned with a new single.
Titled "Mantra," the track is the band's first bit of new material since their 2015 LP That's the Spirit. The group also delivered live album and concert film Live at the Royal Albert Hall in 2016. You can hear "Mantra" below.
UPDATE (8/22, 11:06 a.m. EDT): A press release for the band's upcoming North American tour reveals the title of the new disc to be amo. The album will arrive through Columbia on January 11, 2019.
Bring Me the Horizon first hinted at their return earlier this month with a mysterious billboard appearing in London. The signage asked listeners, "do you wanna start a cult with me?," which has now been revealed to be a lyric in "Mantra."
A phone number on the billboard allowed fans to dial in to receive "spiritual advice and guidance," along with a snippet of new music. Flyers with the same messaging appeared in the United States last week with an American phone number.
On top of that, the website joinmantra.com reads that "Salvation will return" on August 21, coinciding with today's single release. Some listeners have speculated that "Salvation" could be the title of the band's forthcoming effort.
