Brian Eno's Bloom Music App Gets 10th Anniversary Edition

Ten years on from releasing the generative music app Bloom, Brian Eno and Peter Chilvers have announced an expanded edition to mark the occasion.

Titled Bloom: 10 Worlds, the new edition is said to be "a reimagining of the original — not simply a remaster." The app's website boasts of a widened palette of sounds and images that can be experience through 10 new "worlds."

To create with Bloom, the user is able to simply tap the screen to form patterns and melodies. When the app is left idle, a generative music player takes over to create an infinite number of compositions that are paired with visuals.

You can watch a 30-second demonstration of Bloom's sounds and visuals below. The app will now also be available for Android users as of December 7, while a pre-order for iOS users has yet to be announced.
