The Bon Set Up for Last Toronto Show Before Recording Debut LP

BY Stephen CarlickPublished Nov 27, 2009

Canadian garage punk fans rejoice. Newly formed supergroup the Bon are preparing to play their last Toronto show before heading into the studio to record their full-length debut.

So what's so "super" about the Bon? Well, they are made up of members from such Toronto musical luminaries such as the Tijuana Bibles, the Leather Uppers, the Speed Kings, the Threat and More Stupid Initials. So far, the Bon have only recorded one seven-inch, which was released this fall on Boppa Do Down, but they've already toured with Canadian punk legends Nomeansno and Magic Christian.

The Bon's show is scheduled to take place at the Silver Dollar on December 12. Sets by fellow garage rockers Thee Beestings and the Boojies will precede and follow the set, respectively.

No word yet on when the Bon are planning to drop their album debut.
