Bon Iver Unveils North American Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished May 9, 2011

Beloved folkie Bon Iver is gearing up to release his sophomore LP on June 21 via Jagjaguwar. Once that self-titled set drops, the songwriter also known as Justin Vernon will support it with a North American tour.

The outing has 16 dates in total, stretching from July to August. There will be one Canadian date on August 8 in Toronto.

Along the way, Vernon will be joined by an eight-member band. This includes a three-piece horn section that will help him recreate the intricate soundscapes of his new album. This large lineup reflects the guest-heavy approach Vernon took on the upcoming LP, as he previously said, "I brought in a lot of people to change my voice -- not my singing voice, but my role as the author of this band, this project."
