Bob Dylan Covers Sinatra Again for 'Fallen Angels,' Shares "Melancholy Mood"

Earlier this year, Bob Dylan announced plans for an upcoming tour and a new record called Fallen Angels, though details were scarce at the time. Now, it's been confirmed that the album will indeed serve as the follow-up companion piece to Dylan's Frank Sinatra homage Shadows in the Night.

Fallen Angels once again hears the folk legend taking on the smooth, swingin' classics of Sinatra, and it will arrive on May 20 through Columbia Records.

This time around, Dylan tackles tracks like "Young at Heart," "Polka Dots and Moonbeams," "It Had to Be You" and "That Old Black Magic." The first song he's shared, though, is a new rendition of "Melancholy Mood."

Musically mirroring its title, Dylan's version keeps things pretty soft, subtle and sad. A jazzy instrumental introduction runs for a full minute before the singer's vocals kick in.

You'll find the full Fallen Angels tracklisting below, and beyond that, hit play to hear the reworked rendition of "Melancholy Mood."
