For those hoping to soak up some live music in the coming weeks without breaking the bank, the Bloor Ossington Folk Festival is for you. It runs from September 20 to 22 at Toronto's Christie Pits Park and, once again, features a pile of notable acts.

Past instalments of the festival have ranged from one-day celebrations to multi-day/multi-venue extravaganzas, and this year's event combines those approaches. The main stage at this year's three-day festival is free and performers include Memoryhouse, Pick a Piper, the Golden Dogs, Catl., Sandman VC, Minotaurs, Bidiniband, Beams, the Schomberg Fair, Alex Lukashevsky, and more.

In addition to music, Christie Pits Park will play host to local businesses selling food, drink and various wares. There will also be information about the local Homegrown National Park Project.

Additional attractions will be announced in the lead-up to the festival, including some special guests, so stay tuned.
