Blondes Collect 12-Inches for Self-Titled LP, Get Remixed by JD Twitch, Laurel Halo, Rene Hell

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Dec 1, 2011

Way back in January, we learned that icy Brooklyn-based duo Blondes would be releasing a series of pulsating twelve-inch singles throughout 2011, and sure enough, they did. For those of you who aren't apt at snagging wax slabs, though, the band have now collected those tunes and tossed them on a double-disc set that will serve as their self-titled debut LP.

While Blondes, which arrives February 7 on RVNG Intl., features the three previously released mini-platters ("Lover"/"Hater," "Business"/"Pleasure," and "Wine"/"Water") on one CD, the package has more to it than just those numbers. The first disc also includes two new previously unreleased tracks, "Gold" and "Amber," which were improvised and recorded in the studio as first takes. A press release describes both songs as being "inspired by complexity and purity," and both apparently are blissful and full of manic energy.

If the two new songs weren't enough, a second disc includes 11 remixes from other electronic artists, including JD Twitch of Optimo, Rene Hell, Dungeon Acid, SFV Acid, John Roberts, Laurel Halo and more. You can check out a remix of "Wine" by Teengirl Fantasy, as well as a video for the original, down below.
