Black Sabbath Extend "The End" Tour, Add Canadian Dates

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Oct 27, 2015

"The End" may still be a ways off, but heavy metal lords Black Sabbath have revealed another leg of dates on their farewell tour, which will now hit Winnipeg and Toronto.

As previously reported, the band announced earlier this year that 2016's "The End" trip will be their last. While we already knew that Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler will be bringing black masses through North America by January, they've now added an additional stretch of stops at the end of the summer. This includes an appearance at Toronto's Molson Canadian Amphitheatre on August 29.

When the tour was first announced, the band confirmed six Canadian stops: Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Hamilton and Montreal. Plans have changed a bit, with a press release now explaining that the band have had to cancel their January 28 appearance at Saskatoon's Sasktel Centre "due to an unresolvable scheduling conflict." Instead, they'll play Winnipeg's MTS Centre the night before.

Refunds are being made available to Saskatoon's Sabbath fans, while they'll also get the chance to grab a ticket for the Manitoba metal show today (October 27) ahead of the concert going on sale to the general public.

You'll find Black Sabbath's revamped "The End" schedule down below.

The trek is expected to be the final round of concerts from the long-running gloom troupe. A press release had previously noted: "When this tour concludes, it will truly be the end of one of most legendary bands in rock'n'roll history...Black Sabbath."
