Black Milk Teams Up with Jack White for Live Album and Single

Just one day after we learned about Third Man Records' plans to reissue the first two White Stripes singles, we now have news of even more forthcoming releases from Jack White's label. In next couple of days, Third Man will host two live shows at its Nashville facility, recording each for limited-edition live LPs.

Most excitingly, on April 8, Third Man will delve into hip-hop when it hosts a full-band show from Black Milk. The label describes the MC as "Third Man's favorite rapper/producer from Detroit."

But this live album isn't all that Black Milk has planned for Third Man; while the rapper is in town, Jack White will co-produce his new single for a future seven-inch.

Also on deck for a Third Man live album are Austin, TX-based garage rockers White Denim, who will perform on April 1. They will be playing cuts from their new album D, which will arrive on May 24 via Downtown.

Both live albums will be pressed on split-colour black and blue vinyl. Unfortunately for Third Man collectors, copies will only be available for fans in attendance at the shows. That gives you two options: head down to Nashville, TN, or keeps your eyes peeled on eBay. Hey, maybe even Jack himself will hock a few online.

Past artists who have recorded live albums at Third Man include Conan O'Brien, Reggie Watts, Nobunny and Cold War Kids.
