Black Midi Perform Winthrop Parkhurst's 1901 Play 'The Beggar and the King' in New Livestream

Black Midi have shared a performance of a one-act play titled The Beggar and the King by Winthrop Parkhurst in a new livestream.As a part of the NTS Radio program Remote Utopias, which aired yesterday (May 2), the band appeared for a rendition of the short play originally published in 1901. The work tells the allegorical story of an annoyed king who can't stop the crying of a beggar asking for bread outside his castle.
In addition to Black Midi, the program also played host to performances by Tame Impala, Homeshake, Cindy Lee, Four Tet, JPEGMAFIA and more. Artist performances aired to help raise funds for Global Foodbanking Network
