Art collective the Black Constellation have been working on a series of short films under the banner An Ode to Octavia, dedicated to science fiction author Octavia E. Butler, and the crew are now showcasing the 12th part (Sparkles)...Recollections of the Wraith, which includes some music from the Seattle crew's Shabazz Palaces.
The video was originally premiered at Seattle's Frye Art Museum, but you can stream the scenic clip online down below. While soundtracked by two extraterrestrial cuts from Shabazz Palaces ("Clear the space out, so we can space out," they say on the second cut), the clip features some down-to-earth visuals of snow-strewn mountain ranges, butterfly-filled fields and a cabin where a crew wear some conceptual fashion pieces.
