Beyoncé Teases New Material with 'Lemonade' Trailer

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Apr 18, 2016

Since releasing her surprise self-titled album in 2013, countless other artists have tried to "pull a Beyoncé" with totally secret record rollouts of their own, though few have managed to so with such success. Bey herself gave us another shocking video drop back in February with "Formation," but now she's giving eager fans some tantalizing teaser material in the lead-up to her next project.

Details remain fairly scarce as to what the project actually is, but we know it's called Lemonade and will be premiering on HBO this coming Saturday (April 23) at 9 p.m. A full minute-long trailer has now been released, flashing through a series of varying, highly stylized of shots of Queen Bey atop some rather suspenseful whispers.

When Beyoncé dropped out of the blue in December 2013, each of the 14 album tracks were given the full music video treatment. And while the new trailer indicates that we might be getting another string of new songs with accompanying clips, we'll just have to wait and see what Yoncé's got in store for us this time.
