Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino to Release Her Own Clothing Line Through Urban Outfitters

Though generally praised for her dreamy beach pop tunes, Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino will be exploring her options outside of the music world, having just announced a new clothing line.

Details are minimal at this point, but this morning (March 1) the Crazy for You songwriter tweeted news of a business partnership with hipster clothing retailer Urban Outfitters.

"Stoked to announce my first ever clothing line!" she posted. "Bethany Cosentino for@urbanoutfitters! Drops in May!"

It's unclear how extensive her first collection will be, but judging by a picture (see above) she included in the tweet, girls across North America will have some silky, slightly gothy ensembles to sport all summer long. Until the chain's catalogue drops, we'll have to speculate on whether the crucifix is an official accessory, or just part of the model's personal collection.

Meanwhile, Best Coast have yet to reveal the full details on their upcoming, Jon Brion-produced sophomore set, but as previously reported, the next Best Coast effort is "not going to be a country record," despite Cosentino reportedly listening to a lot of Loretta Lynn.
