"If You Love Me" (ft. Jessie Ware) (video)

Jessie Ware's debut disc Devotion may have lost out to alt-J's An Awesome Wave for this year's Barclaycard Mercury Prize, but the UK R&B singer is still a force to be reckoned with this year. Outside of her own album, the vocalist has teamed up with Osaka-bred, New York-based production duo BenZel for a cover of '90s R&B outfit Brownstone's "If You Love Me."

You can check out the sensational results in the video down below.

BenZel's luscious, organ-assisted production on the track is more supple and slow-going than the New Jack Swing style of the original, which meshes perfectly with Ware's deep, impassioned performance. If that pitch-shifted harmony with what sounds like a Dimetapp-sipping demon doesn't trip you out, then maybe director Kate Moross's drippy, lava lamp-influenced visuals will do the trick.
