Lots of people have taken exception to U2's virus-like distribution of their new album Songs of Innocence, but few have been quite as outspoken as Odd Future rapper Tyler, the Creator, who expressed his views in a Twitter rant filled with four-letter words.
Like many of us, Tyler discovered that U2 and Apple's marketing campaign resulted in Songs of Innocence appearing on his phone without his consent. In response, Tyler turned caps lock on last night (September 12) and shared a string of variations on the phrase "FUCK BONO," at one point comparing U2's album to "A PIMPLE OR LIKE A HERPE."
Although the initial tweets are angry, Tyler gets funnier as he goes on, with the rapper jokingly declaring that Bono is "FUCKING AWESOME." Read the rant below.
