Beefs 2013: Kanye West Goes Off on Nike Boss Mark Parker at Nashville Show

Kanye West previously teamed up with Nike to release his own Air Yeezy shoe, but he's revealed in recent interviews that he's currently working with Adidas. It seems that his partnership with Nike didn't end on good terms, since the self-proclaimed "most important musician of the past 10 years" has called out Nike boss Mark Parker.

As the Associated Press points out, during a gig at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday (November 27), the mask-wearing West gave the crowd to one of his now-famous rants. "Do you know who the head of Nike is?" he asked. "No, well let me tell you who he is: His name is Mark Parker, and he just lost culture. Everyone at Nike, everyone at Nike, Mark Parker just let go of culture."

Apparently he wasn't happy with how the release of his Air Yeezy shoes was handled, since he said, "Did you not want the Yeezys? Nike would make you believe it was my fault that you couldn't get them, but that was not the case. I wanted there to be as many Yeezys as there was LeBrons, and I wanted them to be at a good price, but that was not my choice, and we're going to change everything."

He promised, "I'm going to create more than you think that any musician in the history of time ever could have."

This follows Kanye's recent interview with Hot 97 in New York, when he complained about his collaboration with Nike. He said, "Nike told me, 'We can't give you a royalty because you're not a professional athlete.' I told them, 'I'll go to the Garden and play one-on-no one.' I'm a performance athlete."

He confirmed that he gets royalties with his new Adidas deal, and Page Six reports that the partnership is worth $10 million.
