Beefs 2012: Courtney Love Accuses Dave Grohl of Hitting On Frances Bean Cobain

In what has to be the creepiest rumour we've heard in quite some time, Courtney Love went on a tweeting rampage last night (April 10) accusing Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl of trying to seduce her and Kurt Cobain's 19-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.

While Love's @cbabymichelle handle is set to private, Gawker has obtained screen shots of her posts, which you can see here.

Love tweeted, "I hear from frannie's roommate that @davegrohl hit on frances, and that she was curious, I'm not mad at her, him i am about to shoot, dead."

The Hole singer was allegedly told by a driver that Grohl had been putting the moves on Frances Bean in the backseat of a car driving around L.A. "The driver from the cm who drove @davegrohl my daughter was telling me what st on laurel canyon and that he had his hands all over her," Love explained.

Making things even more uncomfortable, Love went on to say that the seduction parlays into Grohl's obsession with his former Nirvana bandmate, Kurt Cobain. She points to Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins looking kind of like Kurt (i.e., scraggly blonde hair), as well as the fact that Grohl's daughter is named Violet (like the old Hole song) as proof. Not to mention how many times he apparently tried to hit on Love.

"Dave tried to fuck me alot and i always thought he had that romney rape thing about him he fucked all my pals," she wrote.

Love has been very public about her disdain for the former Nirvana drummer, most recently chewing Grohl out last November for laying claim to the band's fortunes.

Neither Frances Bean nor Grohl, meanwhile, have commented on the accusations. It should also be noted that the @davegrohl Twitter account Love kept referencing is not maintained by the musician, but a German man of the same name who hasn't used the account since 2008.

UPDATE: In a statement, Grohl has responded, "Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue."

UPDATE 2: Frances Bean Cobain has now released a statement of her own: "While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother."
